Frequently asked questions
Can they be frozen?
Yes, baked muffins will freeze for up to 3 months. (How do you freeze them properly? Learn more here)
Can I add an egg?
Yes. An egg can give even more volume.
Can I make anything other than 12 muffins?
Yes! Our blends are very versatile. You can make 24 mini muffins or 1 loaf size (breakfast bread style) instead of 12 regular muffins.
Mini muffins: Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 10 to 14 minutes.
Bread size: Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 45 to 55 minutes.
Since all ovens are a little different, always use the toothpick test: insert it in the center, it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Can you add apple pieces?
Yes! While our mixture is filled with dehydrated Quebec apples, you can add some fluffiness by adding about 3/4 to 1 cup of finely diced apples to the batter before baking. Firmer varieties such as Honeycrisp, Gala or Cortland work particularly well because they keep a nice texture when cooked.
Can you add nuts?
Yes. Add about 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to add a little crunch that pairs perfectly with the apples.
Can you add more cinnamon?
Absolutely. If you like more comforting and spicy flavors, add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon directly to the batter. For an even more indulgent touch, sprinkle a little brown sugar and cinnamon on top before baking.
